University of Muș Alparslan hosted a historical project between 04-11 July 2020. From Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Department of History Prof. Dr. Adnan Çevik and Assoc. Dr. Murat Keçiş, Research Assistant Mehmet Sait Sütçü, from Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çaycı, from Ege University Archeology Department Assoc. Dr. Haluk Sağlamtimur, Specialist Archaeologist Oğuzhan Karaçetin, Marmara University History Department Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Köroğlu and From the Geography Department of the Marmara University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Ceylan, Head of the History Department of our University and Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Alican, Director of SEMAM Dr. Murat Alanoğlu and Deputy Director of SEMAM  Research Assistant Omer Gurdal, Dr. Mehmet Ozalper, Dr. Serhat Aras Tuna, Dr. Esra Cıplak from the Department of Social Studies Education and Dr. Iskender Dölek  Within the scope of the “Locating The Battlefıeld Of Manzıkert:  Hıstory and Archaeologıcal Survey Project”, in which instructors also participated, some contacts were made at the Rectorate of Muş Alparslan University, Muş Governorship, Manzikert District Governorate, Bitlis Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Ahlat District Governorate and Ahlat Museum. A comprehensive survey was carried out in and around the city.
