The “‎950th Anniversary of the Manzikert Victory International Symposium” was held.

Taking part in our center as a stakeholder, our Director Dr. Murat Alanoğlu This symposium, to which  also contributed by presenting a paper, was held on 23-24 August 2021 with the participation of more than thirty local and foreign academicians, and the Malazgirt Victory and the historical identity of the city of Manzikert were discussed. In this symposium, in which the results of the “Locating The Battlefıeld Of Manzıkert: Hıstory and Archaeologıcal Survey Project”, which is ongoing under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, were shared with the public, the Battle of Manzikert in its 950th year was subjected to a comprehensive examination in terms of both its historical dimensions and war archeology. Our center also participated in the activities “Commemorating 950 Years of the Battle of Manzikert” organized by the Archers Foundation under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey on August 26.
